The ICW is great for leisurely paddling amongst the mangroves, watching dolphins and manatee and fishing.  Sarasota is know for great fishing for snook, redfish, trout, bluefish, Spanish mackerel and pompano just to call some.  You are able to often lease Kayaks and Paddle Boards with the southern area of Siesta Key across from Turtle Beach.
